Read all the hardships we overcame to successfully host the event
2025-10-25 at 05:14:39By Nguyen Van NamOn the day of departure, we started to travel toward the campsite that we had booked three months in advance, looking forward to a fulfilling camping session.
However, an unfortunate event happened to us. As it was the time of the year when wildfires were tremendously running in B.C, our campsite was also gravely affected. The air quality was considerably bad and we decided that we could not use the campsite anymore. We had to discuss with our participants, and most decided to follow us to the nearest lake to play there.
Then, we decided to split the organization team into 2: one to guide our participants to the nearest lake for cooking and having meals. The other would go and try searching for any other campsites available. We know that it was tough to look for an available campsite for almost 40 people right on the spot, but we still kept our minds positive. And it looked like God had not abandoned us - we actually found one!
Immediately after, a part of our team was called to set up the stage for the acoustic night. We managed to set up everything, along with the tents right before the night came. And everyone was having a good time!
In the end, we were grateful for the participants who had gone and stayed with us even though the situation was dire. Again, we would like to express our gratitude, and we hope that we will be able to see each other soon.
Until next time!
